About me


Roman Chamberlane G. Zuñiga VI was born in Legazpi City to the spouses Pablo Zuñiga y Atizado and Asuncion Godino y Abina of Rapu-Rapu, Albay and Legazpi City, respectively. He had his elementary days at Legazpi Port Elementary School and high school at Aquinas University Science Oriented High School and at the Divine Word College, both of Legazpi City.

CHAM, as he is fondly known, took up his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Certificate in Teaching leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Education both at the Bicol University, Legazpi City. He pursued his Master of Arts in Public Administration and Master in Local Government Management, both at the Graduate School, Bicol University. With his desire to acquire more knowledge, he took up Bachelor of Laws at Bicol College, Daraga, Albay and Doctor of Philosophy in Public Administration at the Bicol University. He is presently taking up the course leading to the degree of Doctor of Education at Bicol University. He is a holder of Career Service Professional, Sub-Professional, and RA 1080.

In his office, Cham rose from the ranks having held the position of Skilled Laborer, Personnel Aide, Training Assistant, Human Resource Management Officer I, Human Resource Management Officer II, Human Resource Management Officer IV, and until he was given the opportunity to head the Assistant Provincial Human Resource Management Office.

He was a consistent honor student and campus leader, having been the President of the BC College of Law Student Council and the Bicol University Graduate School Student Council. He was a recipient of the 1985 NSTA Scholarship Grants for Summer Science Institute and the 1997 PGA Scholarship grant for his Master in Local Government Management.

For his past time, he writes his column in local weekly magazines circulating in the Bicol region. He was likewise one of the staff writers of the Albay Capitol Today, the official newspaper of the provincial government of Albay.

On several occasions, he was the resource speaker in seminars, commencement exercises, conferences and other similar activities. He also hosted radio programs.
